This episode is part of the Empowerment Through Education, LLC (ETE) Women’s Empowerment Summit. In this episode, Jacqueline Peña teaches us about the power of reflection in our lives and provides a framework to allow listeners to maximize the benefits of the four parts/episodes that follow this one. She shows us how we can’t determine our goals and how to get there until we figure out where we came from, how our past has shaped us, and who we are now. Then we can figure out where we want to go (our goals), how we want to get there (our methods), and who we want to be when we get there (aligned self-growth).
Jacqueline Peña is the founder and CEO of Empowerment Through Education, LLC, a consulting firm that focuses on empowering small businesses and higher education institutions to meet their long-term goals. As the daughter of Dominican immigrants and growing up in Bronx, New York, Jacqueline has long understood the value of education and how access to educational opportunities can transform an individual’s life at a personal level and a professional level. With 30 years of experience in small businesses and 23 years of experience in higher education, Jacqueline has applied these lessons about education and empowerment to her work with individuals, small businesses, and educational institutions across the U.S. Jacqueline also publishes reflection workbooks and hosts Coffee and an Interview, a podcast where we learn from lessons from individuals who have overcome extraordinary circumstances and/or are doing extraordinary things in the community.
